Tilily at The Royal Armoury Museum in Leeds

Following her disappointment of not being able to attend the Leeds Musical Festival (due to her lost entrance ticket) Tilily visits The Royal Armoury Museum situated nearby. This award winning museum was opened in 1996 to house the National Collection of arms and armour (most of which had originally been in The Tower of London) and includes items from the Dark Ages to the present day, spanning over 3000 years. Actors in costumes are used to demonstrate various aspects of the collection and during the summer months there are demonstrations of jousting, falconry and horsemanship.

Tilily visits Little Moreton Hall

Little Moreton Hall is a 15th century Tudor Manor House in Cheshire and is one of the finest and best known timber framed buildings in England. A Grade I listed house, made traditionally from Oak and wattle, which rambles around three sides of a cobbled courtyard and is completely surrounded by a freshwater moat, in which ducks and fish swim. At the back you can see flower beds in their original planting, a clipped Knot garden and an orchard. A third storey extension, a long gallery where the ladies could take their exercise in the bad weather, was added later and it's this roof's heavy slate tiles that has caused the front of the structure to bow.

Tilily in Cheshire
This pram is just the right size for me.

Tilily in Cheshire
Looks very wobbley to me.

Tilily in Cheshire
Do you think it might fall down?
